What are Cannabis Edibles?
Cannabis Edibles are foods that have been infused with THC, CBD, or both and deliver the effects of the plant when eaten. This is one of the most popular methods of enjoying cannabis because it is discrete, clean, and easy to control dosage.
What is the proper dosage of Cannabis Edibles?
Our Pioneer Square edibles and Lori’s Potato Chips come in 10mg servings and are appropriate for an experienced consumer. A newcomer to the world of edibles may do well to start with a smaller dose of our Dank Chocolate Syrup (Capful 4.16 MG THC/CBD) or a half bag of Lori’s Potato Chips.
Where can I get Craft Elixirs Products?
We are proud to have one of the most popular lines of edibles in Seattle and we partner with dispensaries around the state of Washington. If your favorite cannabis dispensary does not already carry our product have them contact us! Or contact us yourself and we will be happy to point to your nearest shop that offers Craft Elixirs.
HOW TO USE OUR THC INFUSED PRODUCTS
THC affects people differently. We recommend starting with a 5mg serving; that's 1 capful (a 1/2 serving) of our syrups, a 1/2 square of our Pioneer Squares, or half a bag of our Lori’s Chips. See how that amount affects your mind and body before adding more. Note that it may take 30-60 minutes to begin feeling any effects from the THC content in our products.
Whether you're new to the effects of THC, someone who uses THC from time to time, or you have built a higher tolerance to THC by using it regularly; we have something for you. Feel free to try all our products, or take into account what we recommend you will be comfortable with: Novice Users - start with our Chips. They contain about 1mg of THC per piece, and are easy to use when trying to control your high. Feel confident and safe to not overindulge by starting with one and moving on from there. Regular Users - go ahead and dive into our edibles. Each package has a set 10mg of THC or CBD. With a higher tolerance, you'll feel comfortable metering the more potent effect and attainable high.
MARIJUANA STRAINS & EFFECTS
SATIVA
The leaves of a Sativa plant grow upwards and are thinner than those of an Indica breed. Sativa effects tend to be uplifting, cerebral and energetic.
INDICA
Indica leaves are wider than Sativa ones. Effects tend to be sedating and relaxing. An easy way to remember this is the statement, "In da couch".
HYBRID
Hybrids tend to be a balance of effects and a general feeling of well being.
CBD
For quite some time now, many sources have claimed CBD to be beneficial to our bodies. We’re not claiming CBD has “official medicinal” effects (full transparency; we’re not allowed to), but we can say that we’re a fan of the effects we’ve experienced from CBD. The biggest bonus with CBD is that it doesn’t typically get people high.
MIXED CBD & THC — THE ENTOURAGE EFFECT
Nature provides both in marijuana plants, so naturally, our bodies react differently to a mix versus just one or the other. The pro’s out there claim that taking both together has the best effects of each while ditching the negatives (like the anxiety, hunger and sleepiness some people experience).
WHERE DO WE SOURCE OUR MARIJUANA & OTHER INGREDIENTS
We currently work with fantastic local marijuana growers out of Washington State. Other ingredients (like berries!) are sourced locally by hand to get the freshest and most delicious flavors out of North Seattle. We’re constantly visiting farmer's markets to find the best product for our syrups and edibles. As seasons change, the ability to try new flavor profiles grows.
